Leon's in Niagara Falls

I'm not going to review any one thing from this place, because everything I've had is great, do yourself a favor and go to Leon's.

You can go to the Italian Bistro side for more for a "nice sit down" atmosphere with great Italian dishes or you can go to the Pizzeria side for a great slice, pie, wing, sub, you name it.

Lorenzo and family NEVER disappoint.

It is without a doubt our "go to" food source.

Justin Tyme on the River in Niagara Falls

So maybe this blog is starting out as a place only for Beef on Weck reviews but I swear I have plans to expand at the very least to new pizzerias and wing joints.

Saturday we decided to go for lunch, always an easy choice for a quick, affordable and good meal is Justin Tyme. We've been there many a time and tried quite a few menu items.

I went with the standard "Matt Order" with a Beef on Weck:

Justin Tyme's Beef on Weck is $7.99 and comes with an awesome side of fresh cut fries.  The sandwich itself is your standard BOW with a touch of thin gravy.  They toast the inside of your roll, in hopes to give you a little more time before your sandwich consumes all the juicy-goodness and falls apart in your hand.  Justin Tyme cooks their beef a little more than some of the area restaurants but tastes really good. If you're asking for salt, the roll on this sandwich delivers.

It's a good size sandwich with a decent sized side of fresh cut fries that really make this a good choice.

With seating outside on a patio on the river, Justin Tyme is a great choice if you need a quick BOW, like I've needed so many times...

I'd give it a try if I were you.

Wagner's Restaurant in Lockport

How did I find out about this place? My wife, Marisa, forgot her purse at work in Wheatfield and I searched on google maps for "Beef on Weck", from her work, wager's is about a 15 minute drive, so we went for it.

After arriving we sat in the dining and placed our order, Marisa, a beef on weck with fries, and me, a Johnnie's Special.

For $9.95, I got a great sized sandwich and five chicken wings, for the amount of beef on the sandwich and size of the wings, this was a great deal.

The beef was tender and juicy with a great taste, the roll was soft and a very tasty amount of salt and weck.  This was a very good Beef on Weck, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of what WNY BOW can be.  The wings were large and good perfect, the sauce (hot) was HOT and had a great taste.

Their service was great and the restaurant was small and personal, the kind of place you always find something that you'll come back for.

If you're near Lockport stop by and check it out.

Get it Started.

I've decided to start this blog a little late into the game, there are many places I should've blogged about over the years of searching out the best Beef on Weck, Pizza or Chicken Wings, I will blog about them as I make my way back. I will start as now and chronicle my journey through the great restaurants of Western New York.

This will be a very simple and short synopsis on my trips to area restaurants.  I don't claim to be a critic especially since I don't eat many vegatables or have a very mature palate but enjoy...
